L'histoire commence avec la «vraie vie» Lara Croft (joué par le mannequin Sofia Vergera), comme elle joue avec son homologue animé dans Tomb Raider. Le jeu devient rapidement très réel et l'action en direct avec Lara vient se mêlé avec le jeu, l'aventurière obtenant le globe oculaire avec un monstre animé au proportion gigantesque.

"Grâce à la latitude de créer quelque chose comme un Indiana Jones ou d'une séquence de James Bond film d'action, nous nous sommes amusés notamment à l'élaboration d'une séquence de jeu, " dit la chasse " Il fonctionne comme son propre petit film."
